Are You Still Walking in Darkness?  “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:6–7 (KJV) Ignorance is responsible for the lack of progress in the lives of a lot of Christians. Ignorance can even lead to destruction. If darkness is used in scripture, we need to understand the context within which it is used. If it has nothing to do with the climate, then it will probably refer to sin and wickedness. When a person becomes born again, he or she is translated from darkness into the Kingdom of light (Colossians 1:13). Thus, God expects such a person to walk in the light of righteousness and holiness. Only those who walk in the light have fellowship with the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
